Think about your dresser; what do you have on it? Obviously your bracelets, earrings and necklaces, but then you probably have a trinket tray to keep them organized, or maybe a treasure keeper. Nearby you may have a shawl that's your go-to or a pouch you carefully plop your jewelry into, so they're ready for your next adventure. It's simply setting the scene.

For this example, all you have to do it decorate a nursery! What are your must-haves for a baby's nursery? Stuffed animals, blankets, bibs, activity toys and soft books, rattles and teethers and maybe a picture frame or three, to personalize this space with a lot of love. Voila! There you have it. You've set the scene.
Ways to Cross Merchandise Serveware
This one may be a little tricky as setting a tablescape can be a balancing act of functional yet fun. Let's start with the basics, that are an absolute need: platters, plates, a pitcher, drinkware, napkins and table linens, barware and bowls. Then you can fill in the empty spaces with 'fluff'. Maybe a vase or two, some candles and/or candle holders, a faux plant ... and maybe have a kitchen towel on hand in case an accidental spill happens. Picture yourself in the scene.
Don't be intimidated by designing a display for your store. Just create a check list of what you would want to see in that scene and go through your list one by one. And there you have it!
